I have my company website hosted as the parent portal and am developing several other domains underneath the same account.  Some I would like to use the same favicon.ico that is in my root folder, but when developing for other companies, they'd obviously like their own icon.  Who can advise me on how to do this?

Simply upload your favicon into the repective portal (/1/.../2/..etc.). the favicon will always draw from its own portal root first and from the portal "master" (/0/) last.

to be more clear: DNN looks first for a favicon.ico file in the root of your DotNetNuke portal home directory (you might need to add .ico as allowed extension in host settings, to be able to upload the file in Admin :: FIle Manager).
