So I've played with DNN a lot in the past, but this is my first time actually installing it on a webserver.  The site is at http://64.186.131.22/ and it seems to access fine.  I have no problem loading a page like http://64.186.131.22/errorpage.aspx but when I try to go to the default DNN it fails.

As far as I can tell my permissions are all fine for this, but I can't be sure (read/execute).

Any ideas why the default dotnetnuke won't load?

Thanks,

Michael

Michael, when installing DotNetNuke, the portal is created using the same site address, which might be an IP address, but most users prefer using domain address like www.mydomain.com. On your web server you may bind multiple domain addresses to a single site by using host header values. If your DNN site is accessible using IP address but not a domain address, you need to add the domain address as additional host header: login as Host, go to portals in Host menu. Select your portal and in appropriate section add missing domain address (omitting http://) as portal alias.

Hi Mitchell, thanks for the reply. I was planning on adding the domain name later on, for now I'd just like to figure out why it isn't working:(

Are you calling Default.aspx in the URL, as you do with ErrorPage.aspx?  If not, you missed setting a default document in IIS.

The default.aspx page is set in the default documents.
