I have recently updated my site from 3.?? to 5.1.3.

Originally I had had my site customized to use the FCK Editor.  Now I see it is offered as a provider/module (????).

My questions are:

How do I tell if I am using the old or the new Editor?

How do I uninstall the old FCKEditor and start using the new One?

Simple, but... everytime I do something that seems simple things get wierd and so I have learned to be careful and ask first.

If I need to unistall/Install can someone provide some specific direction on the uninstall/Install process.  I can easily download the new provided FCK Module and install it.  I am worried about the code change (in the ????.config file) to uninstall the first if I have to.

Thanks in advance for your help.

The lastest FCK Editor that is bundled with DNN is vesion 2.6.4. You can find out the version number by clicking on the help icon in the toolbar of the FCK Editor that you are using.

If you want to try something even newer, try the new version of the FCK Editor (which is now called CKEditor) there is a FREE 3rd party module that you can download & install here - http://dnnckeditor.codeplex.com/ (install the module through: HOST > EXTENSIONS > INSTALL EXTENSION WIZARD).

Hope that helps ;)

Be careful as I just installed dnnckeditor on my test installation of DNN and it looks like it butchers inline CSS and I have not found a way to uninstall this yet.

Can you please give us an example of what you mean as we were thinking about using it in a few sites?
