Ah, the problem of being on the outdated 3.1.1... :)
I agree that "copy" may have been the wrong term being used, as it is more of a "mirror" -- a dynamic representation vs a static image.
Plus, I should have learned the first time (yes, I did it once before). This client was in just too much of a hurry, and I did not want to spend too long, so I just copied and changed. My local backups do not go back that far on content, so I will just have to recreate...
I guess what I would really like to see implemented in DNN is a "recover" or "undelete" function. Especially when the client modifies the content on their own, it is just too easy to delete the text or formatting in a module. For example, if each module had a unique identifier (like must exist in the DB), we could ask for prior versions of that module. Of course, then space might start getting out of hand...
Oh, well, if it were perfect, then life would get too boring.
