I cant get past the following error when I type in this URL in IE 8 - "http://localhost/dotnetnuke"

"The website declined to show this webpage Http 403 error"

I downloaded the source package (DotNetNuke_Community_05.03.01_Source.zip) and went thru all the install steps and double-checked everything.

1 Setup the DotnetNuke directory (C:\DotNetNuke53\), unzipped all files to this location.and gave full folder persmissions to the APSNet Account.

2. Copied release.config file to web.config in C:\DotNetNuke53\Website

3. Setup in IIS the Virtual directory (DotNetnuke) and pointed it to the directory in step 1.

4. In IIS set the documents tab to default.aspx, set the ASP.net version to 2.05, allowed anonymous access and set integrated windows authentication.

5.  I did not do anything with sql express . This is the default database per the install instructions

 

I've searched the forums/internet for info but could not fnd anything of help. This a a little more than frustrating; almost 6 hours of effort so far on the install.

Not sure where to go from here.
