I am trying to update SSL settings in Site Settings >> Advanced Settings.
When I check the 2 SSL boxes (SSL enabled and SSL enforced) and then come back to them, they don't stay checked.

I get conflicting results depending upon whether I view in IE8 or Firefox. This is whats happening now in IE and Firefox:

e.g.
Firefox - this happens:
SSL -  is unchecked
Secure pages work OK (https is displayed and htttp pages consequently display ok too)

IE8 - this happens:
SSL -  is checked
Secure pages display the security message (IE 8 Security Warning – Do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered securely?)

Just to clarify, I am selecting update and there is nobody else changing the settings).
We have also just moved to a new server, created a new db and everything seemed ok before the move.

I have also noticed a delay in updating other settings too, such as:
*  Form n List module - 'tracking and notifcation' message not updating straigt away.
*  Repository settings - location of folders for approved files etc

We are running    DNN v5.1.1    |    SQL 2000    |    .NET 3.5
thanks,
Mark.

I thought that this had settled down, but then I noticed lots of other things not updating.

similar prob here:
http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/F...

the solution on the above forum is in IIS Application pool settings to:  "only have ONE worker process per application pool"

I have since created a separate app pool for each dnn site and will see if this improves things.

----------------------
As for the IE8 security problem - this looks to be due to the fact that mixed content was not enabled in browser settings.
(tools >> internet options >> security >> custom >> miscelaneous >> allow mixed content)
- I didn't want every user to have to do this, but I believe its the only way get rid of the pop up warning message.
