 So I added the doctype to the internal page and now I get this in the source. <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> . By the way, thanks for the information on how to add the doctype, I did not know that. However, I still have the problem. Do you guys have any other ideas?

It looks like you're still working with a HTML doctype page not XHTML, maybe the doctype xml didn't work.

Can you make sure the doctype file has skinname.doctype.xml. I'll need to edit this in my previous entry.

Regards,

Rick.

 I did add the .xml and have this in the source now.  . However, I still have the problem. I do know that I was having this issue with every browser, and I added a

form{

margin: 0 0 0 0;

}

To my css and it removed it from FF and Chrome but not IE. Also, if I remove the token for the menu, then the page views properly. Does that help at all?

Well... I installed your skin (thanks for providing the download link) on my local DNN site and spent a bit of time playing around with it, couldn't find the issue.

So I looked at some of my original template skins that were all built with tables and active on DNN4 which don't have the issue your skins suffering from... And hey presto I think I have the solution for you.

In DNN4 there was an inline setting for the form giving it a height of 100%, this has been removed from DNN5 and it's this that appears to be creating the gap, although once you change the skin doctype to XHTML it's only appearing in IE6 (I like your thoroughness with the testing).

Go into your CSS file and add the following to your form settings

form{
height:100%
}

Hope this fixes the problem for you.

Rick.
