Hi,

I need to restrict who views what & have decided to use roles to acheive this.

Basically roles are assigned according to city.

When a user registers I want them to be immediately assigned a role according to their city. If user selects city a then they instantly get added to the City A role, or If user selects cityb then they instantly get added to the City B.

Catch is there is 11,000 citys & therefore 11,000 roles.

What would be the best way to acieve this?

Thanks in advance

I think you are going to have some serious performance problems with 11,000 roles. There are options for auto-role assignment, mainly with RSVP code as well as custom third party registration modules. Regardless, I am not sure this is going to work too well for you.
