I just removed all but one portal and tried again.. Is there any place that logs details of the application failure so i can read over what exactly failed?

You'll find the Sql script error in the file \Providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProvider\05.00.00.log

The application upgrade errors should show up in the Admin-->Event Viewer provided that you can access your site and login as admin or host user. If not, you can look in the database table EventLog. Most of the details are found in the LogProperties column in XML format.

I did not see the earlier post that you may have made about your upgrade difficulties so don't know if you already tried doing an upgrade directly from 4.9.5 to 5.2.3. Many of the upgrade issues found in the early 5.x.x versions were taken care of in 5.2.3.

I have tried to use the upgrade version of 5.3.1 but i still get these errors and more later..All the modules still disappear and fail to install correctly if i try to simply reinstall them

I am looking over the database column by column now... I fixed up a few of the upgrade errors.. and i am sooooo close... but still i cant see the vast majority of my modules. Here is the problem...

  • I see all my installed modules under the dashboard
  • I do not see my modules under Host, Module Definitions
  • I do not see my modules in the pull down list on the control panel

Something different is filtered by the dashboard and the module definitions.. any idea what it could be?  A lost constraint?  The id number between modules and module definitions seem to match up and some modules do show while others dont.
