Hi Matthias,

If you create a seperate module with your own namspace and module name, you will be able to upgrade without any problem. In this case, you will use only your own account module instead to use the Store Account module.

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Hi Gilles,

yes, this is the last resort. I had hoped to make the store account module more flexible, so others could benefit as well. I think our requirements are not too special. To me it seems that the store is currently more suitable for selling goods where there is no immediate response expected from the portal.

Imagine selling things like "Accessing/Downloading a special document" or "paying for a certain kind of online service" where the user expects an immediate response after he has completed payment. For these cases there is really some space for improvement with regard to the store module...

Best,

Matthias

Hi Matthias,

Again I'm open! Look at the code and submit suggestions. :-)

The new product role feature allow you to provide "digital products" (like documents, media files, ...) and role access to "private" parts of your web site. When the payment is received the dnn customer account is automatically added to the corresponding role(s), then dnn allow instant acces to private ressources.
