I'm creating a new module that will display a Read-Only product catalog (data maintained elsewhere and updated using SSIS).  It will never have an Add, Update, Delete.

Do I need to keep passing all the ModuleID, ItemID etc to all the methods and add these field to the tables?  Or can I just remove all references to ModuleID from every layer?

ModuleID is used as part of the security for editing modules, so if your data is read only you don't need it.  Its used when you update a record for example to check that the user updating the record has the correct permissions for that module, otherwise you could hack a module by just changing the ItemId in the URL.
