I'm using the 5.0.2 active directory module with 5.4.1 of dnn.  If I pre-create an active directory user in dnn I can login as them.  If they're not there, I get an endless loop.

I updated from the previously released version of DNN in the hope the update would fix it.

I've tried installing Microsoft AJAX, full trust vs. medium trust, replace version 1.dot.something each time with 3.5.0.0 in web.config.  Basically have burned an entire day chasing this.  Any suggestions other than get the bought-and-paid-for AD authentication module?

Based on your attempts at resolving the issue, I am assuming you have read: http://www.bestwebsites.co.nz/dotnetn... .  That has fixed the redirect issue for me in the past.  Outside of that, check the portal alias table.  Other things that could cause it would be something in code that would be redirecting to a hard coded URL, etc.  Its a tough one to pinpoint..
