Hi,

I am trying to install DotNetNuke on my windows shared hosting package and I am getting the following error:-

Line 91: </system.webServer>
Line 92: <system.web>
Line 93: <machineKey validationKey="F9D1A2D3E1D3E2F7B3D9F90FF3965ABDAC304902" decryptionKey="F9D1A2D3E1D3E2F7B3D9F90FF3965ABDAC304902F8D923AC" decryption="3DES" validation="SHA1"/>
Line 94: <!-- HttpModules for Common Functionality -->
Line 95: <httpModules>

Also under the section Show Additional Configuration Errors: it states:-

It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level. This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS. (line 156)

I am using Helm control panel and I have setup dotnetnuke as a virtual directary, exactly the same as all other .net apps I am using on my domain.#

Can anyone else please?

make sure, the virtual directory, you installed DNN website in, is configured to be an application

I am using Helm control panel and there doesn't appear to be an option for this when creating a virtual directory.

The only option is to input the physical path to the folder for the virtual directory.
