How can you check permissions using ControlPanelDNP? EDTHosting.com uses this control panel and when I installed the 5.4.1 version of DNN today I went into an infinite loop when the Wizard reached the database setup step. The NEXT button never returned, nor did I see the list of tables being created.
I tried later to do a manual clean install of a previous version , 5.2.3, thinking I could set that up and then upgrade.  I completed the 5.2.3 installation but when I clicked "Go to Website" a the very end, I received a 403 Access Forbidden message.  How do I debug this and get the site up and running?

You know, I bet that your host could answer this question.  After all, it's more likely that a hosting service that runs a control panel will know more about how it's set up than a random bunch of internet junkies...

That is very true, Jeff, but when EDTHOSTING.COM decided to stop answering support emails and answering their support phone number, I had the only choice to try to grasp at straws that someone, somewhere, might have used this control panel also.  By trial and error I am getting there.   For future reference, the lock on the side of each file in this control panel is where you set the permissions. It would have been very helpful to include "ALT" tag information on that icon. I was leery to click it since no alt information came up when I hovered over it.

In EDTHosting.com's defense, they seem to be back doing support after about a 3 week hiatus.
