Hi all,
I have a DNN install (4.9.5) with multiple portals. Portal 0 is a site that we no longer use, so I'm wondering, can I delete it?

Thanks,
Dave

Somebody will probably correct me - but probably not a good idea.

Yep you can, but first make sure it isn't specified as the host portal in Host Settings. Rob

In this case I agree with Rob (sorry, Alex ;) )

Hi guys, I went ahead and tried to delete portal 0, but when I did, I received the following error:

Error: Portals is currently unavailable.

The portal is still showing in my list of portals, but when I click the edit link to look at its site settings, I get this error:

Error: Site Settings is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Entities.Portals.PortalSettings.GetSiteSettings(Int32 PortalId) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.PortalManagement.SiteSettings.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Any more advice on how to completely remove this portal?
