Hi,

We have a Dotnetnuke website developed in version 4.09 and would like to know how we can allow certain users to track forums. I would like to do this as an Administrator/Host, i.e. by adding their usernames to track each of the forums. The forum is for our own open source software and would like all developers to be able to track and receive notifications of forum changes so as to assist users as soon as possible. Is there a way of doing this without the developers having to do so by themselves?

Please help??

There are notification forum types but you will have to upgrade your core and forum versions.

Hi,

Without the trouble of having to do that, is it not possible to put all the developers into one security role and then enable notifications for that role under the "Forum Manager - Edit Forum". The only problem is that the notifications check box is disabled and I cannot seem to get it enabled along with the Unmoderated Check Boxes. Please help..

Thank you Chris, something I had missed in the 'edit forum-options' page. I finally got it working. You have to change your forum type to a Notification Forum and then the check boxes will be enabled in the Permissions section. So I put all the developers into one security role and have checked that role to receive notifications.
