I have finaly install DNN 4.03 on windows 2003 using SQl 2005 Express.

In IIS I created a new website and used it for my DNN 4 site.

After the site install, i launched my browser(IE or Firefox) to my local site which loads fine.

However, whenever i try to login to the site for the first time using the default, admin or host account i get the error:

Login Failed, Remember that passwords are case sensitive.

I have never been able to login to the site.

Am i missing something, has anyone else experienced this problem?

Can anyone help me please.

looks like an installation problem, most likely due to permissions. have a look into your web.config, there should be 2 encryption keys added. if they are present, check the database for entries in the eventlog table and check the logs in \providers\dataproviders\sqldataprovider.

Thanks for the feedback. to resolve the problem i ultimatly deleted the database and DNN site folder and restarted the setup. Everything worked this time.

Thanks for the help.
