How can I disable caching the CSS file?

I keep the default setting for the DNN and anytime I change the CSS files and upload too my server , the page loaded with the same styles. Firebug addon show me that the CSS file loaded from cache.

what can i do?

i suspect you're not seeing server level caching (unless you're using a module such as pageblaster), but instead seeing browser caching. You can force a full refresh by pressing ctrl+F5 , or alternatively set your browser accordingly e.g in IE go to tools->internet options, in the browsing history area click on settings and then select "every time i visit the webpage"

I'm not using pageblast or something like that but I mean the server chaching. it doesn't work with Ctrl+F5 or anything around browsers.

when I see the CSS file from the source code that firefox shows me, the Old version loaded. but when I download the CSS file from the server with ftp program it is new CSS file

Same Issue on DNN 6,

cache is not allowing to update skin images or css files...when i refresh browser (CTRL+F5) i get older version not newest...i refreshed 24 hours later and browser get new one, but i can't wait 24 hours everytime that i'm testing changes on images or CSS...

any suggestion on how to disable caching?

I'm with Cathal, it's probably not server caching.  Server caching is OFF by default and has to be turned on by a server administrator, or code in the application.  If it really is server cacheing then it's an IIS setting, not DNN. You will need to turn off the content expiry headers.
