It's quite depressing to see all the install and upgrade errors in this forum group, so I thought I'd just post about an experience where I upgraded a 7 portal 4.8.5 DNN install to DNN 5.4.2.

Everything went smoothly and there were no problems at all.  The upgrade was done and I was logged off within 5 minutes.

The question begs: HOW DID YOU DO IT? I came here looking to upgrade from v 4.8 to 5.2 and read yours, which is very encouraging. But I cannot find a "How to.." anywhere. I have already downloaded the upgrade .zip file, now I do not know what to do next... Please will you help me (and I am sure others out there?) Thanks and in anticipation, Kind regards, Lori
