Hi, i just downloaded the latest community edition and trying to set it to use an existing DNN database. In the Run Database Installation Scripts screen, it tells me

Upgrading Database to Version 05.01.00...FAILURE ERROR: (see 05.01.00.log for more information), where is this error log at?

I logged in as host to see the version information (it would be good to know what file has this information).  We are currently on 05.01.04 (3).   I get a "Object reference ..." error on the line where it tries to check for BreadCrumbs PortalSetting.Active<something>.BreadCrumbs in page_Init.  I get this because during the install, i told it to use the old versions database. When i restore my database back to previous day, everything in my visual studio starts to work again but when i run the install script for dotnetnuke, it gives me exception i mentioned above.  So, is the new version install changing things and if yes how? What do we need to do to upgrade to the latest version?
thanks,
bramoin
