Hi Guys.
I have a large forum (over 2000 forums) which I want to change to a subforum structure into order to hopefully speed up performance.  I am however a noob when it comes to SQL and was wondering if someone could help regarding how I would go about running a script to change existing forums over to subforums under one parent forum.

Eg...under one group I have 287 forums.  I want to create a Parent forum and place the existing 287 forums under that as sub-forums.  I would then do this for each forum group I have, thus condensing my groups and forums down.

Is there a script I can run to make this happen?  I can't fathom the idea of manually performing the task using forum manager with over 2000 forums at the moment.

Many thanks in advance.

I wouldn't expect much performance gain from turning forums to subforums. Either combine forums into one or use a hadware capable of all the necessary processing and caching.
