Cuong Dang, Timo Breumelhof and Salar Golestanian have put together an updated default.css file as a first step in moving toward ore efficient CSS usage in the core.  They would sincerely appreciate folks giving it a try and commenting on it... to ensure that it meets the requirement of NOT adversely impacting anyone.  To be clear, substituting the new file ideally will have NO VISIBLE IMPACT on your site... but it will minimize the size of the default.css and make it more readable, etc.

Download the BETA default.css file and give it a try!  Your comments are appreciated!
