Hi,

Iam new to dotnetnuke. I have developed a ASP.NET 2.0 project which I would like to embed within Iframe. I know I can provide a link to Default.aspx under "location attribute of Iframe.

What changes do I need to make to the ASP.NET project so that it works as a DNN module inside Iframe.

Are there other ways to embed ASP.NET project inside DNN.

Do I need to make any other changes to DNN to embed any ASP.NET module.

Many thanks,
sri

you may link your app using a virtual directory (set up as application) in IIS and an IFrame, the more suitable solution would be converting it into one or multiple DNN modules, which requires some coding.

Before using an IFrame you may want to know that the Google Chrome seems to have a bug that always shows cached content for the iFrame content unless you delete the cache manually.
 Not tried with dynamic content.

We just did a similar thing for our site Sri. Our app was ASP so we converted to asp.net and in the process added code so it could be inserted as a module in the site. If you look at the source of a few modules you can see what is needed. You might also make changes to your app so it ties in better to dnn. Like using the user information for the DNN accounts, using the api for emailing, redirecting, etc. Our project took some work, but it is now integrated into DNN and is working great. It's more work than doing an iframe, but well worth it.

Hello, Sri,

You can setup your application in a dotnetnuke folder and than use XsltDb to show controls of your application inside DotNetNuke page as DNN modules. However, you can't put your application's page as a DotNetNuke module. You have to convert it to a control first.

You can view tutorials and download XsltDb from the project web page http://xsltdb.codeplex.com
