Hi:
I am wondering if this is possible.

I would like to have a list of events on the home page and also have a calendar of events on a dedicated page. It appears that I can show the events on both pages but I cannot figure out how to make one a list and the other a calendar.

Ideally, I would be able remove the toolbar from the home page so the users cannot change the view.

All help gratefully appreciated.

Charlie

The basic structure for this is:

  • Define what your main Events module will be (I assume the calendar on the separate page)
  • Give this module a recognizable title
  • Enter any events that you have in this Event module, set the default display for this calendar on Month
  • Add an (extra) Events module to your homepage
  • Do not enter any Events in this homepage module, but add a subcalendar to this module (can be specified in the settings), and select here your main Events calendar as subcalendar for this home page Events module
  • Set the home page Events module to display in list mode (as default or only mode)

In addition you can manipulate the settings for both modules and display each the way you want.

In addition to the explanation from Ernst Peter, with version 5.1.1 you can hide the icon bar using the module settings. You will still be able to get to the items displayed on the icon bar (apart from the subscription checkbox) using the module drop down action menu.

Cheers
