Hello All,

I have a client who is shopping for an economic, scalable but feature rich host for his new DNN/CataLooK site.  He has found some configurations involving SQL Server Workgroup edition.  Is this edition compatible with DNN Community?  Or, will he experience performance issues if he runs DNN on this edition?

Thanks,
Sid

DotNetNuke runs on all versions of SQL Server starting with Express. DNN 5.2 and above require SQL Server 2005 and newer. Regarding Workgroup Edition, it might be fine for intranet, but AFAIK the license does not support using it on a public web server.

Cheers from Germany,

Sebastian,

Thanks for this information.  It's surprising how many web hosts out there are offering this.  My client is trying to setup dedicated hosting on a shoestring budget.  So far, we've found very few hosters that offer the functionality DNN/CataLooK require that won't break the bank.  Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Sid
