Hello

I have a en-GB site that was upgraded fron 5.2.x to 5.4.2 and I have enabled the RAD editor from the web config. I have fixed the problem with non-us sites showing no labels but I am still stuck as the image manager shows no images. All I can see is an empty set of window frames with the message:

Page 1 of 2 items 1-10 of 11

The same thing happens on this forums editor if I click the Image Manager button.

I have seen some posts about using
Portal Root/Content/Images,Portal Root/Content/Image Library

but that has had no effect for me and I have not seen any definitive guideance.

Can Anyone help? I am very keen to use the RAD editor but if I can't see/insert images its a real show stopper.

Any ideas what I can do to fix this?

Many Thanks

Steve

PS - ForumAdmins: Can we have a providers/RAD forum like the providers/FCK one as the "Official" Telerik company support people try and redirect queries to this site but there is no forum here....

Hi,

I am on DNN 05.04.02 and I am encountering problems with RAD editor configuration, which is linked with your problem too I think.

I want to do be able to perform 2 kind of actions:
  • Being able to configure the folder path for the ImageManager, DocumentManager etc...
  • Being able to delete the files uploaded to these folders

I have edited the "ConfigDefault.xml" file in ~\Providers\HtmlEditorProviders\Telerik\Config and added these two lines for the ImageManager:
<property name="ImageManager.ViewPaths">~/Images</property>
<property name="ImageManager.DeletePaths">~/</property>

"Images" being my images folder...

In this case the folder path root for the imager manager is good and I can delete files. But you will notice that the delete path is set to "~/".

Actually this is impossible to set the delete path to "~/Images" and being able to delete files... Furthermore I tried with other folders (with the same rights than the images one), and nothing works, I had just a blank selection screen and no action buttons when clicking on the manager...

For the other Manager (document, media etc..), I just can't configure anything and then I can't delete any files...

This is a serious problem in this editor. I would like to use it as a replacement of FCK but these problems are very embarassing gor a daily use...

Can you reproduce that ? Is it definitely a bug or do I miss something ?

Thanks,

Nicolas

It's working on my site DNN 5.4.2 with the following setting in configdefault.xml

<property name="ImageManager.ViewPaths">Portal Root/Fotball,Portal Root/Ski,Portal Root/Sponsor</property>

PS. It's case sensitive in folder names. Be sure you use the same name and case as in your filesystem. Also there is no comma (,) after last variable

This same setting won't work for delete files.

Thanks guys I have tried setting the view paths using both ~ and Portal Root but have not managed to get it to work yet.

My Images are stored in ~/Portals/0/images

I have tried various combinations of "~/Images", "Portal Root/Images", ~/Portals/0/Images" etc but still not seen a single image eg:

<property name="ImageManager.ViewPaths">~/Images,Portal Root/Images</property>

Any more ideas on how I can test this and sort it out? Do I need to clear caches and restart the app after each change?

Thanks for you help so far!

Steve

Hi,

The folder name is care sensitive so take care (Images / images). As soon as you edited the config file, close the Image manager pop up, push alt+f5 to be sure your browser is cleaned and you should see the changes.

I think your problem is linked with the case sensitive... Nevertheless it won't solve everything because we are still blocked with this problem. It would be nice if a DNN member or a Telerik member gives his opinions on this.
