I've got Nuke 4.0.3 with a few parent portals (no children).Everything works perfectly... but....

The search facility in some of the parent portals do not work, when clicking on the search button it returns the message (whether logged in or not):

A critical error has occurred. Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

The search works fine on one of the sites. No problems at all.
Any other portals I create I get the same error.
All appears to be working fine otherwise. Aliases work fine as well.

Bug or do I need to tweak something?

Has anybody experienced the same thing - please may I have your advice ...

How did you fix the search facility on new portals?

Going live on three days, but no search facility!

Were running good ole v 04.08.00

I presume that upgrading would fix the issue for portals created after upgrading, but may not fix existing ones?

Anyone got some advice about this? - We dont really want to go and upgrade our dnn instances, unless it is absolutley necessary.
