Hi all.  Brand new to this whole portal thing.  I've done a lot of websites, uploading to a server that i've paid for.. which obviously has everything in place to make things like this much easier.  But.. now my new dilemna.  At work, we have "teams" and team websites for all of our internal documentation/files and such.  Our team website is weak.. and just not too useful.  I don't have access to the server that they publish the current site on, so I was wondering if it's possible for me to download this portal and install it on my laptop.. get it all up and working.. and then simply share the directory out and let everyone see the new site I created.  I run SQL Server on my laptop now.  Is this enough.. or do I need to dl a whole lot of other stuff to do this?

Very much appreciate your advice!

Jeff

As long as your laptop meet the system requirements,  I dont see why not.......you need IIS.....you need to have the Framework.....you need SQL server or the express version .
