Hi everyone!

Now after upgrading I do have this issue - all the pages with announcement module shows me an critical error once I turn the view from edit to view. It's crucial to me, because most of users load pages only with view permissions - so they all do have that error.

On the test server it all works fine :( There were an issue with Telerik library while upgrading on the work server - can this cause a problem?
Anyway, I need this InnerException to be resolved.

Here is my Stack Trace:

HI Fiona

Are you running the latest version of the announcement module.  I had a different issue solved by the latest version.

This error is also being discussed here.

Thanks for replying, Ian. Lately I noticed that it's not only Announcements modules problem but also those pages with HTML module on it. I did reinstall each of those modules but without any noticable effect. Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Hi Fiona
From what you are saying the problem is more fundamental and your announcement module error is only one symptom.

I think that you may be able to gain more information from this thread which deals with a problem introduced by the upgrade and concerning the use of non EN-US languages in use at upgrade time and perhaps a folder issue.

Have a look at this 10 page post which may be of help.
http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/200/threadid/368265/scope/posts/threadpage/1/Default.aspx

I am not as expert as so many here are but this seems to fit your description of the issues.

Hope this helps

Ian

BTW: It may be prudent to export the contents of the announcements module so you don't loose any content
