I have a Silverlight app/module that I'd like to allow run OOB. That module has been developed using WAP. CodeEndeavors Silverlight template actually but getting help from those guys has proved a useless endeavor (excuse the pun).

I'd like that module to retrieve data (0 to 3 records) from a table in the db, add a record or modify a record.

I've tried using Michael Washington's WCF RIA example but the new WCF RIA Services v1.0 uses .Net 4.0 and is not compatible with DNN 5.4.4, not if the RIAService and references dotnetnuke.dll

So, next try is to use a WebService to get/add/update data from a table in the db.

Any other way for my SL App to access the the DNN db?

Can someone point me toward any example?

Environment: VS2010, SQLServer 2008, DNN 5.4.4, SL 4.0

Thanks
