Good luck ;) Seriously - my upgrades always fail from much lesser site version differences than yours - it depends on the complexity of your site but I have a 95% fail rate and my live site goes down for at least 1 day. For some reason my cloned test site always upgrades fine and then my live site behaves completely differently... The only thing you can do is backup everything and try... (but don't delude yourself - you gonna have downtime)

Do you use Godaddy hosting? I am currently having a potential failure in one of my DNN sites. It's an upgrade from 5.4.2 to 5.4.4 and it seems to be stuck at the point that says "Pending Patch" and has been that way for about 20 hours now. I did the same upgrade on another site yesterday morning and it went smoothly. I guess that's one of the problems I read about when people complain about Godaddy's hosting. Anyway, I may just completely start over with the old version and just keep the files and content to use on the new site. The old version site is only about 30 pages, so I don't think it will be too much to deal with.

 Thanks, Jeff...

Yes, I do use Godaddy. So far, I have not had any problems updating from 5.4.2 to 5.4.4, But I did however crash my site when I went from 4.9 to 5.2 and ended up having to completely uninstall and reinstall the new version.
