I send the newsletter to various personal email addresses I have – all on different domains. I can confirm that they do not go through. I do however get this message below:

Bulk mail sent (asynchronous mode). Please check confirmation email for result.

and also get a blank email with the subject line:

CBOSS CMS SMTP Configuration Test

What other settings in DNN besides the Host settings control the email side of things… I have 6 instances of DNN none of them have this issues and they all reside on the same server… Anyone have issues with forms or anything email related not being sent out. I am confused as the test message works fine...

Generally something like this occurs because the SMTP doesn't allow relaying for the domain in question. As you might try changing the from/reply address in the newsletter that you are sending and see if that makes a difference. Can you check things on the SMTP side as well to see if there are any logs?

I have verified that these items are correct.

I have used various emails in all the fields in different orders, from different domains. It does not seem to matter. What I do find odd is that everytime I do this I receive this SMTP test email. Why is that?

I am not requesting it...
