 I'm seeing this problem in both synchronous and async mode.  And smtp settings etc. are all correct.  It is very strange and very annoying.

Any idea when 5.5 will be out?  I can't use a beta version on production.  Thanks

 Hi Sebastian,

Yes that works fine.  But sending newsletters causes it to fail with the Service Unavailable.

I had also a issue with sending e-Mail from DNN but it was related to the E-Mail Server configuration.  If you run your own E-Mail Server make sure you dont use restriction or check for not local existing email addresses and and if needed don't check if the email domain is local on your E-Mail server.   If you only have a hosting ask your ISP for an open SMTP server or open auth-SMTP server.

Basicly it is good to use as admin address the same domain as you have used on SMTP Username on Host settings.

Would GoDaddy have these restrictions? If so, what settings should I ask my network admin to change?
