Hi,

I need to create a searchable database for some an educational class archive. Each entry will have:

Table 1

Course #
Title
Description
Initial Proposal (PDF)

Table 2

Course #
Year Taught
Faculty Name
Website
Email
Syllabi (PDF)

Is there a module that will do somthing like that or do I need something custom?

Note: I have tried doing it with the document library module but it doesn't work as nice as I would like.

Thanks,

-s

It might be hard to find a module that meets your specific needs. The OWS module does allow you to run queries, so you could use it to pull up the info. YOu could also write a custom module for it, would be pretty straightforward if it's just a search type of module.

OWS will do it. XmodPro will do it (a little easier). DNM RAD will do it. Property Agent would probably do it.  SGSV will do it cheaply.

There are many modules such as the above on snowcovered that will do it.

Which one depends mainly on how often you are going to build modules like the one you are describing.  I.e. If you aren't going to build many modules you pick the easiest and quickest one that will get the job done.  If you plan on building more modules you can afford to invest the time to learn a more advanced module.  Most advanced / hardest to learn - OWS.  Easiest - Property Agent. Middle of the road - XmodPro.

Hi All, Thanks for the replies. I'll look into these modules. BTW - We are using Dynamic Forms to enter the data. I was thinking about Dynamic Views to view it. Thanks, -s
