Hi all,

I've put together a couple of SQL scripts to fix broken data in the Tabs table - if you've got problems with page management or copying page design to descendants even after upgrading to the latest version of DNN then these might be of interest to you.

Firstly, Find and Fix Tab Levels and TabPaths can be used to find and optionally fix broken data causing page management problems (i.e. when you move a page it doesn't end up where you think it should).

Secondly, Find and Fix Missing Tab ContentItemIds can be used to fix missing ContentItemIds that are a cause of the 'The UPDATE statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "FK_Tabs_ContentItems"' SqlException that occurs when you try to use "Copy design to descendants" in tab settings.

Regards,
Rhys

Your tips fix one half of my problem, which is tabs were getting -1 as level value in database and  some tabs have invalid TabPath field value in DB. After running your script above problem gets fixed, i.e improper level value becomes proper.

Another half is when i manipulate tabs; like when i move level 1 child tab to root level(level 0) then i find level field value -1 instead of 0. After this tab doesn't move up/down.

Can you please help to sort out this problem.

Best Script Ever - when doing an upgrade from 4.8 up to 6.2x, all TabPaths were cleared (blank actually, not NULL, and this script saved us from manually replacing them across 32 portals one level at a time in the db. this script was a night saver!
