@Sebastian: Nice. Thanks.

@Monte:  Yes you can.  Be aware of both what Sebastian said, and also that my script examples do not leave any records in those tables at all.  If you'd like to have the last 1-2 day in those tables or something, you will need to adjust the scripts.

 Thanks for your help.  Much appreciated.

Is there a problem with deleting ALL records?   I just want to be careful I don't cause problems.

First, clear out the EventLog and the SiteLog:
DELETE FROM {databaseOwner}[{objectQualifier}EventLog]
DELETE FROM {databaseOwner}[{objectQualifier}SiteLog]

 If the database is at its limit, those SQL statements will not work, because DELETE adds records to the transaction log, which usually is included in database quota. please use the following commands instead:
TRUNCATE TABLE {databaseOwner}[{objectQualifier}EventLog] TRUNCATE TABLE {databaseOwner}[{objectQualifier}ScheduleHistory] TRUNCATE TABLE {databaseOwner}[{objectQualifier}SearchItemWordPosition] and if you can live without sitelog: TRUNCATE TABLE {databaseOwner}[{objectQualifier}SiteLog] Next database and database files need to be compacted, before you may continue clearing the search tables and reindex.

PS: if you are limited with database space, check whether you need site log inside DNN at all. if not, turn it off or switch to file based log and a log analyser.

if you delete all rows in sitelog, you will not be able to review recent visits in Admin :: SiteLog, this will be repopulated afterwards.
