Hi, I am new to dnn and .net. I have the site up and working. I would like to display a registered subscribers details on one of the pages. The subscriber details are on a different SQL database on the same server. The subscriber detail has an URL with an image which I would like to display on the page.

I would really appreciate if anyone could help me with this.

You will need to use either a custom module, or a third-party module to query the external system for the information and display it.

If you can't find a commercial offering that works and are looking for something custom feel free to get in contact with me at msellers@iowacomputergurus.com, we do a lot of custom DNN module development.

Santosh,

There are several SQL display modules available -- some free, other not.  You can start with the Reports module - it's part of DNN -- and will let you access an external database and generate a grid of results.  There are option that allow you to customize the reports or even use XLST to go all out.

Both Tressleworks (SQLGridSelectedView) and DNNStuff (SQLView Pro) provide free and subscription based modules that will display an external database database based on passed in T-SQL.  (or even stored procedures).

There are other option available at Snowcovered if needed.

Hope this helps
Paul.
