Firist thanks to the the work in the localization area, it will be a great enhancement for DNN !
In the localization section of the module settings you find the terms:
Attached, detached, bind, unbind, reference
for explaining that the “content of the module in a specific language” is shared or not with “the content of the module in the master language”. (Copy or reference) .
My remarks about the
“Detached ?” column :
- A red cross or green V is like detached is good and attached is bad, but it depend on the module used and the content you have on the module
- I hate negative labels like “Is detached?”, it’s hard for the human brain. (to know what meen detached, you first must know wath is attached)
The information to the user for this column is “What is the content of the module on the page with the culture of the row ?”
So here some sujestions :
1) For attached : “shared’, “shared content”, “master content”, “shared with master”, “reference”, “ reference to master”
2) For detached : “not shared”, “copied”, “copied content”, “translated content”, “language content”, “specific content”, “copy”, “new content”
I think the terms “new”, “copy” and “reference” are good for the actions because they also used for the same behavior when you do a “page copy”.
And you have already explain this terms to the dnn users.
For example replace :
“Detach from Default Culture “ with “
Replace with a copy of default culture”
« Reference Default Culture » with «
Replace with a reference to default culture”
And for the column header text : “
Content”
And the cell value : “
copy” or “
reference”
What your dream ?
