I am referencing images that reside on another site.  but I am getting image not found errors.  Does the image view allow for displaying images on another site?

If not is there a work around?  I would prefer not to have to load all the images on my DNN site if I dont have to.

Thanks,
Joe

Hi Joe,

You can use external images if you specify a full url (http://www.otherdomain.tld/...).

It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Thanks Gillis but thats what Im doing.  Here is the HTML for the image rendered

<img class="StoreProductImage" src="/DesktopModules/Store/Thumbnail.aspx?IP=http://myimagelocation.com/CNVEF/E5445_1.JPG&amp;IW=90&amp;BC=FFF&amp;CD=2&amp;portalID=0" alt="Product Image" style="border-width:0px;" />

there is a trail of information that gets put in after the image path.  What is this?

Hi Joe,

If you are able to display the image http://myimagelocation.com/CNVEF/E544... in your browser, then it should works! Here a short explanation about the parameters:
  • IP: Image Path - full or relative url of the image.
  • IW: Image Width - The width size to display the image. Your image can be larger on disk of course!
  • BC: Background Color - Used with GIF image format only. Please read the Templating Guide for details.
  • CD: Cache Duration (in minute).
  • portalID: The id of your website portal.
