I'm going to be installing DNN Community with DiscountASP.net (other suggestions would be appreciated)  with one of their one click installs of Dot Net Nuke. Anyone know what is required for the install?

I'm attempting to have a stress free install and don't want the install to go bad because my account is insufficient.

Thanks,

Vic Matson

you need ASP.Net 3.5 SP1 installed and SQL Server 2005 or 2008 (Express). After installing, check the version, they provide, latest is 5.4.4, stable versions are 4.9.5 and 5.2.3 as well.

I have Microsoft Visual Web Developer installed and it comes with SQL 2008 (Express) and, from your comment, it sounds like I will be able to copy back and forth( FTP) my DNN site to my local PC (instead of using a browser to make changes) after the hosted site is live, so that may of answered another question?

As far as the host provider is concerned, they have ASP.Net 4.0, but charge extra for SQ 2008 r2 so it looks like if I buy SQL I'm good to go?

Please also know, I plan is on getting one of the other DNN paid versions and have a Skin designed for me along with a module so I can use YUI AutoComplete in a few forms along with jQuery.

Btw, I like the Rich text editor used here in this forum.
