The new DNN 5.4.4 site has the registration set to public, after a user registers, the following message shows up;

An error has occurred.
Error: User Registration is currently unavailable.

BUT, if the new user goes to the login, he/she can log in normally and has full functionality within the permissions for a registered user.

 How can I make this message stop popping up after registration?

 Thanks, Jeff...

please check your smtp settings and the portal admin email address , perhaps there is an erro sending the email notification to the portal admin (though I thought this would be captured) - also, please check the admin->event viewer to see if there is more exception detail available.

The email was the problem. I did however encounter a situation where I had to create a separate login page and left the registration page as not specified. with both functions set as not specified, after registration, the new user encountered a message that "You do not have access to this portal".

 All is well now. Thank you very much
 Thanks, Jeff...
