Hello, I was following online advice to upgrade through versions at a time in the following order
I started at 4.4  and installed 4.6.02  I get the module load warning on login as many unfinished threads comment.  Should I go ahead and continue with 4.9 and then 5.4 while this error exists?  Thanks

I suggest to restore your database and files from your backup.  I hope you have done it before upgrade.

Then check your permissions of files and folders.  I think there is something wrong.  Notice the application pool user must have full access to all files and folders. The User for the annonymous (IUser) must have read permissions.

Then re-extract the file from the upgrade package and try to upgrade.

Thanks for the prompt response - I decided to finish the upgrade to 4.9 and the problem went away.  I havent tested it thoroughly however, but am confident thus far that things are operating fine.

Cheers, Valerie.

HI again, have been busy all summer and returned now to do some content development.  First of all, most unfortunately, I did not do a backup.
I can login, view the site, edit modules but when I try to add a page or open the settings I get the following error:  Suggestions?  Thanks in advance
Error: Page Management is currently unavailable.

most likely, not all files of the upgrade have been uploaded properly. I suggest re-install the files from the upgrade package.

Cheers from Germany,
