I want to transfer our DotNetNuke website which has been developed by an external programmer to another web server - how do I best go about this? Note that the new web server does not have DotNetNuke installed yet, it's just a plain Hostgator dedicated Windows server.

Thank you for your help!

Regards
Thomas

For files, you should use a ftp client, as DNN has so many files. For database, depending your host server, I moved once onto Goddaddy using Microsoft database publishing - google it. When both are in the place they suppose to be, edit the web.config file, connect files with database and then upload back. this can be googled too. Hope this can give you a little light.
