After adding a second language to my installation i made it the default language and tried to change some static resources ,while the change save goes well and the new resource file gets created nothing changes  when i change the current language and i think it should .

Would appreciate some help

in DNN 5.5.0, static resource are set only according to browser / user profile language and are no longer affected by language selector. This might change in future versions.
