please let us know if you find anything, we have only the reports on this thread to date and not enough details to even begin a reproduction sadly.

I spent a lot of time in the language editor during the past days and didn't encounter a real error - but a couple of situations where CPU went up to 100%, nearly all consumed by w3wp.exe, until (after ~ 15 mins) I restarted the server . The error did not happen again after I increased server memory.

Hello all,

I have encountered this exact same problem after upgrading my business site from DNN v4.9.5 to v5.5.0 (a bit of a struggle to get there).
(I've checked all of the items mentioned in this post - .NET 3.5SP1, the WebFormsMvp.dll)

Prior to this, I had upgraded two other DNN 4.9.5 sites to v5.5.0 without issue. All of these sites are on the same IIS 6 Server. They all run in Medium Trust, two with SSL and one without.

The other two sites have no problem editing language settings, just this last site I've upgraded.

My business site has iFinity URL Master 1.16, but I reverted to standard DNN provider to test, and that did not change the error.

If there is any additional information I can provide to help resolve this, I would be happy to do so. I was glad I found this post, as I was beginning to feel it was just my site.

Thanks for your assistance.

Rob

did you check the module settings, there is paging switch, which should be turned off maybe this interferes with new telerik controls (I haven't checked this out yet).

Hi Sebastion,

First, I want to clarify my problem as it might be slightly different than the original post after re-reading.

I am able to get to the Languages page.
I am able to click on the Edit this Language pencil icon and get to the "Edit Language" page
I am not able to use any of the three edit options under "Static Resources" (System | Host | Site)

Now to your question. There is a link called "Language Settings" which takes me to a page titled "Portal Language Settings" which has a "Use Paging in Editor Option" which is not selected (never was). Is this the setting you are referring to? It is the only place I have found a paging switch.

Thank you.

Rob
