I am in the process of upgrading the community version, in the mean time, I have lost the ability to login as host. When the login is clicked, nothing happens, the home page comes back, I have used a variety of browsers on both Mac and Windows XP. Same results.

The host (webhost4life.com) did upgrade the server but can't find any reason it would bollix up the web site.

Without knowing exactly what the "upgrade was these are merely POOMA suggestions

What happens if you append  /login.aspx onto your site URL and hit enter? Once in a while I found this works if the AppPool is still functioning but just slow
You m web-hosting provider may need to restart the AppPool and/or IIS in order to restore log in on the site.

I tried adding /login.aspx and get an error message. I looked in the files and do not see this particular file at the root or Portal level.

Can you try appending &ctl=login to your site URL and see if the log in page appears? This is the command to show the log in page even if it has been hidden from the site.

Example: http://www.mydnn.org/&ctl=login

the proper syntax to call the login control would be http://www.mydnn.org/default.aspx?ctl=login
