Hi,
I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium. I ran the WebMatrix install and everything seemed to go fine. It asked me for a sql server database, username, etc. and all went well. I can see the db is created (sqlexpress 2008) and the login is created. When I go to my browser and type in http://localhost/dotnetnuke I get the below error.

Any ideas on what the problem could be???
thank you!

Here is the error:

Server Error in '/dotnetnuke' Application.

No http handler was found for request type 'GET'

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.Web.HttpException: No http handler was found for request type 'GET'

Windows Home Editions did't have a IIS included.  So only a integrated Webserver could be used on the developement application.  I don't know if Webmatrix have one integreted.

If you need a OS with included IIS you need a proffessional or Ultimate edition.

WebMatrix does include MS Developer Express amongst other great goodies: http://www.microsoft.com/web/webmatrix/download/

The system requirements just list the major Windows platforms it does not denote Editions.

I'm working on setting up WebMatrix now but I'm betting I will not be able to reproduce this as we do not have a copy of Windows Home around.....

The error message means you are missing an HTTP Handler in the web.config which I find a lot hard to believe unless you edited the web.config prior to or after running installation

I haven't tried webmatrix myself yet, but maybe ASP.Net has not been properly setup for the web site.

I have a similar problem: I have windows xp home edition, with dotnetnuke and webmatrix. but can't run website developed in dotnetnuke which runs well in other machines. DotNetNuke setup and installation was done prior to webmatrix installation. will that be an issue?
