I searched for an answer to my problem and haven't been able to find an answer or it could be I'm not asking the right question?  Here is my problem.

I've downloaded and installed a couple skins through the install wizard and everything was successful.  The skins show up in the extensions area, but when I pick a skin to apply to the site, nothing changes.  It is still the default skin that comes with the DNN 5.4.4 install.  I install the application yesterday and after fighting with sql express I was able to install the site successfully, but I would like to change the skins.  In DNN 4 on another server it was easy peasy, but I'm struggling here and not sure where to turn.

If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.  I'm about to watch some video tutorials on the subject and hopefully I'll find some nuggets of insight there.

Well there you have it, found a video that pointed out my missing information.  Sorry I jumped the gun here, but having spent 2 days trying to get it working I didn't have much hair left to pull out.

If you go to admin > skins, do you see previews of the new skins?
What skins did you install?

Could you tell us what the issue was you had?
(that's very useful feedback for us)

For some reason the skins when I installed them would either give me just the skin or the container, it wouldn't show both.  So what I ended up doing was opening the main zip file and using the wizard on the skin zip file within the main zip file.  This would make the skin available, then I ran the wizard again and this time used the main zip file and selected the skin button at the warning about not having a manifest file and then both the skin and container showed up in the site settings.
The frustrating part prior to this work around was I was getting a successful install, but they weren't showing up in the dropdown lists for the site or host skins for the site settings.  Just the default that comes with DNN.
