Trying to install DNN Comm5.5 on Win7 IIS with VS10Pro & SQL08RS.
I followed Michael W's tutorial on setting up the database, IIS and DNN:
http://adefwebserver.com/dotnetnukehe...
but I am now having a problem with the wizard, trying to connect to the Database

My database is called DotNetNuke.mdf, and I have tried (local), (localhost) [with and without parenthesis], [blank]
With/without integrated security, nothing seems to work.

Is there another online reference that is more specific than "follow the wizard steps for your config"?

Thanks

That helped, thanks. Turns out I should have simply used a period (.) for Server name, and not specify the extension ".mdf" under Database. I will look over the other available Webinars...
