There is a problem in the Events 5.1.4 upgrade routine when trying to perform the upgrade. This problem occurs when upgrading from versions of Events prior to version 4.1.0. The bug is fixed in Events 5.1.5 beta 2 (which is not published as yet...).

The workaround is to upgrade to Events 5.0.3 prior to upgrading to Events 5.1.4. Note the following constraints:-
  • Events 5.0.3 requires minimum DNN 4.7.0
  • Events 5.1.4 requires minimum DNN 5.2.0
  • DNN 5.5.0 requires minimum Events 5.1.4

Ok, so we've upgraded to DNN 5.6, and our problem now is with Events module 5.1.4.  We are getting the message "Argument 'Length' must be greater or equal to zero.".  How can I get the Events ver 5.0.3 that you're recommending?  And, do I just install it over 5.1.4?  Thanks.

You cannot downgrade to a previous version. The recommended approach would be to go back to a previous version of your site using a recent backup, and then use version 5.1.5 which is the current Events version.

If you can't do that, try installing Events 5.1.5. If that doesn't solve the problem, post back here and I'll try to help.
